Reimagining Australia Day - A Different Lens (Snapshot)

For many Indigenous Australians, the 26th of January marks the memory of their dispossession. But for others it is a celebration of modern Australia.

Should we reinvent Australia Day and recognise that settlement is also invasion? Can we ensure that this day has the same reverence as Anzac Day? Or, do we need to create a new day, that not only acknowledges our past, but also our unified future?

This special episode of “A Different Lens” investigates the perceptions surrounding Australia Day and how we must speak to all threads of society.
